BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in the course of her lifetime, so prevention and early detection are your best friends. If you don’t know how to perform a self breast check, NOW is the time to learn. Ask your doctor to teach you or check out the How To Breast Self Exam, below.

Can it be scary to self check? Of course it can. Honestly, I find that I have a lot of anxiety around it now and am actually afraid at times to even feel my breasts because I'm terrified that I will find a lump again and have to go through more biopsies, the emotional stress that goes along with it, another surgery and maybe next time I won't be as lucky; considering I’m at high risk. You have to move through the fear though. Honor it, but don’t let it consume you. Check your breasts.

Be proactive. Learn your family history, study up on all the things you can do to prevent breast cancer, and do your best to take action. Some of the steps I take for prevention are: Exercising regularly, I’ve cut my alcohol intake, I do my best to get at least 8 hrs of sleep a night (which is very difficult for me, because I have insomnia). I’ve worked on removing people and situations out of my life that create high levels of stress. I’ve been working (for years) on healing my gut (so VERY IMPORTANT), and strengthening my immune system. I try to stay away from sugar and stick with eating organic, whole foods because I believe that food is medicine. I do my best to stay away from foods that create inflammation in the body, because inflammation makes the body sick and is like a welcoming party for cancer growth and as Dr. Axe has expressed, “it’s the underlying issue that dictates cancerous tumor ignition, progression and growth.” I take CBD  oil - pills daily, and focus on holistic prevention such as, sound healing, acupuncture, healing my liver, and lowering my estrogen levels through Chinese medicine and making sure my liver is working properly. And of course, I work on my spiritual and mental health, which is at the top of my list.

My latest go to (aside from the CBD oil) that I'm excited to share with you beautiful ladies, is an essential oil called Frankincense Oil. Frankincense Oil can stop cancer before it starts by “disrupting the inflammatory processes.” It may also directly attack cancer cells. It balances hormone levels, helps with anxiety, fatigue and mood swings (YES PLEASE). Frankincense oil also helps with regulating estrogen production which is HUGE when it comes to preventing breast cancer. I rub it on my breasts daily. All you have to do is mix it with a carrier oil such as, jojoba oil and you're good to go! You may also add 3drops to your water 3X a day.

Do what you can to prevent cancer…even if it's only a small shift in your behavior, a small change towards health is a big step in the right direction and will empower you to make more positive shifts. So here’s to your beautiful breasts. Show them how much you care this month. Schedule that mammo you didn’t want to go to, schedule your OBGYN appointment. Be proactive! Love your body, love your breasts. And much ♥️ from mine to yours.

P.S. For the rest of the month, I will be donating 25% of all Dream Catcher and Jewelry sales to The Breast Cancer Charities of America. It's the least I can do. xxoo Natalie
